About Community Alternatives to Violence

Funds raised during the Unity Campaign will support the Community Service Program of Community Alternatives to Violence. 

This initiative helps to offset the cost for participants that lack the financial means to pay for classes that they are required to attend. For many, successful completion of our program will lead to the reunification of their family, a fresh start, and a new healthy family life. When the cycle of domestic violence is broken, children grow up in safe and healthy families. For all of these individuals who complete CAV, it is the opportunity to move away from harmful and destructive beliefs and behaviors, and for far too many, it is the opportunity to break from the harmful ways in which they were raised. CAV is working to break the cycle of violence in families in our community.
