Join CAV at this year’s Morgan County EXPO on Saturday, July 26th at Berkeley Springs State Park and the Ice House! We’ll be there with an info booth alongside 30+ vendors and nonprofits, ready to share resources, answer questions, and connect with our community. This family-friendly event features giveaways, bouncy houses, free swimming, a watermelon eating contest, and much more. Come say hello and learn how you can get involved in building safer, stronger communities with CAV.
We’re excited to join the Martinsburg Housing Authority’s Summer Block Party on Saturday, August 2nd from 10AM to 3PM! Stop by the CAV table to learn more about our programs, pick up resources, and enjoy fun children’s activities. This free, family-friendly event is a great way to connect with neighbors, celebrate community, and discover local services. We look forward to seeing you there!
Come celebrate with us at the Paw Paw Block Party on Friday, August 9th from 11AM to 2PM! CAV will be there with an info booth and activities for kids, alongside community partners offering school supplies, food, games, and music. Join us for an evening of music, connection, and community healing as we kick off our October campaign to Paint the Panhandle Purple. This special concert, hosted at the beautiful New Earth Granary, features performances by local CAV facilitators and friends.
Tickets are by donation — available online or at the door.
All proceeds benefit both Community Alternatives to Violence and Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center as we work together to raise awareness and end violence in our region.

Be part of this year’s Paint the Panhandle Purple display contest! The 2025 theme is “Safe Homes, Stronger Together”—a call to unity and awareness in the fight against domestic violence. Decorate a window, storefront, office, or community space to help spread the message. Individuals, businesses, schools, and organizations are all welcome!
Nonprofits and community groups will receive 20% of what they raise to support their own mission.
